Oh, Daughter

Lyrics:

Oh, Daughter
You are the One
The one who has to grow up
In the world we’re building now

And daughter
My only one
I hope you can forgive us
For the damage already done

And I will try to do the same

It’s funny
What building really means
Is tearing down the things
That we so dearly love

the waterfall

My life is a waterfall.

I was One.
Now, for better and worse
I am a droplet, silhouetted
against the sky.

When I hit the pool below
I will be Home.

the owl

the sky may look bleak
as it does in early winter

but I saw the great horned owl

we caught the few moments of sunshine together
right after the snow pellets fell

her turning towards the sun and I towards her
both giving off their radiance

without want of anything in return
